Private Events and Catering

Daylight Mind has dedicated its second floor of the building for private parties and events. The event space includes indoor room with custom hardwood floors, high ceilings, large windows, and accordion style doors that lead out to an open lanai overlooking Kailua Bay.  Being as close to the ocean as possible and right in the heart of Kona Town makes this a unique place to have unforgettable events.

Whether your event is here at Daylight Mind, or off site at a private home or venue, we have catering menus from pupus all the way through dessert!

Event Packages

The space can be rented out to parties of 25 or more (smaller parties are welcome to make reservations in our restaurant).  Our Event Packages include white linens, tables, chairs, glassware, flatware, china, set up, break down, and the entire second floor of our restaurant to yourself.  We require a deposit to hold the date.

Package fees may double for holidays, including Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Standard Event Package event times are 4:00pm to 10:00pm. Inquire for morning and early afternoon pricing. After-hours rates available for events lasting as late as 1:00am.

In addition, the downstairs dining room is also available for rent.  We also accept buyouts of Daylight Mind, which includes both floors.  Sufficient advance planning and a deposit is required.  Contact us if you are interested to discuss options.  Fees begin at $5000 for building buyouts.

Cafe Package Hawaiian blend coffee, iced tisane, or iced tea: $6.00/person

Full spirits bar $250.00 minimum

Live Music and DJs

Live music is not included in the rental package.  However, we can help locate and organize live music for your event if you so desire.

Additional Information

Tax (4.167%) and service charge (23%) will be added to all parties. (Service charges are distributed to the event's staff according to management policy.)

Paid parking is available under Waterfront Row. Free parking is available across the street from the library or nearby in Coconut Grove. At this time, we are unable to validate parking for events. Please inquire for Holiday event rates, and extended hours.
